For an accessible science, shared, and inspiring

 

DARE actively engages in science outreach to bridge the gap between research and the general public, students, and professionals. Whether through workshops, lectures, collaborations with schools or institutions, or public engagement projects, we work to democratize science and spark curiosity and vocations.

Our goal is to build bridges between laboratories and society, making scientific challenges tangible, compelling, and understandable for all. Science does not belong solely to researchers. It belongs to each and every one of us.

#EleveTonBlob

We implemented several projects in close connection with scientific research.

Notably, in 2021, we participated with middle school classes in the #EleveTonBlob citizen science initiative involving experiments with Physarum polycephalum.

In 2022, we took part in the #RecordDuMondeDuBlob which involved creating the longest blob ever recorded (53.9 m or 58.9 yd).

#MissionAT-50-22

In 2024, during the AT50-22 mission aboard the RV Atlantis (UGA/WHOI//NSF), we collaborated with high school teachers from Lycée Léon Blum in France and Trinity Preparatory School in Florida.
We organized video conferences and created video content to keep students engaged in learning about the ocean.
Additionally, we developed various materials and activities to support their ongoing ocean education.
